Mets signed LHP Jose Rosado to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Rosado is attempting another comeback after four years out of the league. Once a very promising lefty with the Royals, his career was derailed by shoulder problems. It’s hard to imagine that he’ll ever be what he once was, but it’d be nice to see him at least make it back as a middle reliever. He’ll open the season in the minors.

Reds voided the minor league contract of LHP Jose Rosado.
Rosado failed his physical for the club. The former Royal hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2000 due to shoulder problems.

Free agent Jose Rosado made his first appearance for Mayaguez of the Puerto Rican Winter League yesterday and gave up one unearned run in three innings.
Rosado, who was out of baseball last season after failing a spring physical with the Reds, is trying to make it back after years of shoulder problems. We’re rooting for him, but he has to be considered a longshot at this point.

Reds signed LHP Jose Rosado to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Rosado has had a very promising career derailed by shoulder problems. It’s unclear whether he has anything left, but it wasn’t a bad idea for the Reds to take a chance on him. Expect Rosado to open the season in Triple-A. We’ll be keeping an eye on his performance.

Free agent Jose Rosado allowed five runs -- four earned -- in one innings yesterday in his second appearance in the Puerto Rican Winter League.
Rosado’s second appearance didn’t go quite so well as his first (one unearned run in three innings). Assuming that Rosado shows he has something left this winter, the Royals are believed to have some interest in bringing him back.
