Mets signed RHP Joseph Yabbour to a minor league contract.
Yabbour made 12 relief appearances this past season for the Mariners’ Dominican Summer League affiliate, finishing with a 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 28/11 K/BB ratio across 20 innings of work. The 20-year-old native of Venezuela is a few hyperspace jumps away from the big leagues and represents a long-term development lottery ticket for New York’s player development engine.
