Tigers acquired OF Josueth Quinonez from the Phillies for RHP Matt Manning.
After designating Matt Manning for assignment on Thursday the club risked losing him for nothing, so they had to be happy to flip him for anything that they could get at this stage. Quinonez, 18, has hit a solid .287/.397/.380 with two homers, 16 RBI, five stolen bases and a 9/12 K/BB ratio thus far in the Dominican Summer League this season.
