Nationals recalled RHP Julian Fernandez from Triple-A Rochester.
Fernandez, who was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers last month, will be making his Nationals debut. The 29-year-old has given up 10 runs in 8 2/3 innings as a major leaguer, with most of those coming for the Rockies in 2021.

Nationals claimed LHP Julian Fernández off waivers from the Dodgers.
Fernández heads to Triple-A Rochester as auxiliary relief depth for the Nationals. The 29-year-old lefty made one relief appearance this season for the Dodgers and holds a solid 3.05 ERA across 41 1/3 innings (35 appearances) this season at the Triple-A level.

Dodgers designated LHP Julian Fernández for assignment.
The Dodgers claimed Buddy Kennedy off of waivers from the Blue Jays on Friday and had to clear a spot on their 40-man roster in order to do so. Fernández, 29, made just one appearance at the big league level this season, giving up two runs in his two innings of work. He could pique another team’s interest on waivers.

Dodgers optioned LHP Julian Fernández to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Fernández returns to the minors after tossing two innings on Monday in his Dodgers debut. The 29-year-old lefty figures to rejoin Los Angeles’ ever-changing relief mix at some point later this month.

Dodgers selected the contract of LHP Julian Fernández from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Fernández has been summoned back to the big leagues for the first time since the 2021 campaign when he made six relief appearances for the Rockies. The 29-year-old southpaw provides Los Angeles with a fresh relief arm heading into Monday’s series opener against the Brewers. He’s posted a solid 4.08 ERA and 32/10 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (24 appearances) this season for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Dalton Rushing was among a list of 24 Dodgers’ minor league players who received invitations to major league spring training on Friday.
The 23-year-old backstop doesn’t have much left to prove in the minor leagues, but with Will Smit and Austin Barnes holding things down at the game’s highest level, he’ll need to work his way into the crowded outfield mix in order to have any shot of breaking camp. He’ll be an intriguing option for fantasy purposes when he does finally arrive in Los Angeles, but it’ll probably take an injury to Smith or Barnes for it to happen. Roki Sasaki and Zyhir Hope also received official invitations to spring training on Friday.

Dodgers signed RHP Julian Fernández to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Fernández last pitched in the majors back in 2021, and spent last year with Veracruz in Mexico. He pitched well there with a 1.82 ERA and 43/12 K/BB over 34 appearances, and the Dodgers will give the 29-year-old a look during the Cactus League.

Blue Jays released RHP Julian Fernández.
Fernández signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays back in January and didn’t end up reaching the majors. The 27-year-old righty last appeared in the big leagues when he made six relief appearances for the Rockies during the 2021 campaign.

Blue Jays signed RHP Julian Fernandez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The deal, which was first reported last month, has been made official by Toronto. Fernandez made six relief appearances for the Rockies during the 2021 season and didn’t pitch in the majors last year. The 27-year-old righty gives the Blue Jays some extra organizational relief depth in the upper minors.

Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports that the Blue Jays have signed RHP Julian Fernández to a minor league contract.
No word yet if the deal will likely include an invitation to spring training. Fernández elected free agency at the end of the year, and posted a 6.63 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 65/32 K/BB ratio over 58 appearances (57 innings) with Triple-Albuquerque. Fernández has a fastball that can get close to triple digits, but just hasn’t shown the command to be a successful MLB option at this point in his career.
