Athletics acquired RHP Kenya Huggins from the Reds for 3B/OF Miguel Andujar.
The 22-year-old right-hander was a fourth-round selection by the Reds from the 2022 draft class. He’s in his third straight season at Single-A Daytona this season, where he has compiled a 3.69 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and a 57/26 K/BB ratio over 63 1/3 innings. He’s an intriguing arm that has had trouble finding consistent command. It’s possible his long-term fit is in the bullpen.
