Kevin Correia pitched six innings and allowed two runs against the Rockies today in his return to the San Francisco rotation.
Correia was announced as Kirk Rueter’s replacement last night. Technically, this is his first quality start in five tries, but since he was facing the a Rockies team on the road and without Todd Helton, we’re not sure it should count. NL-only leaguers need to stay away.

Kevin Correia picked up his second win after allowing three runs in five innings tonight against the Reds.
Correia gave up solo homers to Ken Griffey Jr., Adam Dunn and Austin Kearns, but the Reds couldn’t do anything with the other three hits and four walks he surrendered. Correia isn’t recommended in NL-only leagues.

Giants optioned RHP Kevin Correia to Triple-A Fresno.
The move makes room on the roster for Jesse Foppert, who will be recalled tomorrow. Correia allowed one run in 1 1/3 innings during his time with the Giants.

Giants purchased the contract of RHP Kevin Correia from Triple-A Fresno.
Although he’s getting called up from Fresno, Correia never actually pitched for the team. He was just promoted from Double-A to Triple-A after going 6-6 with a 3.65 ERA for Norwich. He’ll spend the next few days in the bullpen and should return to the minors after the break.

Kevin Correia could make it just 4 1/3 innings in Sunday’s loss to the Braves, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and five walks.
Correia failed to tally a strikeout in turning in his first non-quality start of the season. Now the owner of a 2.42 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and ugly 9/8 K/BB ratio through 22 1/3 innings, Correia will get the Reds at home on Friday. He’s best utilized as a spot-starter in mixed leagues.

Kevin Correia pitched well against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits in his six innings of work.
Correia struck out four and didn’t walk a batter in the game. He was scratched from his start on Friday due to a lingering back issue, but looked fully healthy in this one. He now has an ERA of 2.00 through his first 18 innings on the season, and will go in search of his second victory when he takes on the Braves on Monday.

Kevin Correia turned in a solid effort in a loss to the Nationals on Thursday, surrendering just three runs on six hits over seven innings of work.
Correia struck out one and walked two in the game. He was victimized by the long ball, as all of the scoring against him came courtesy of homers from Roger Bernadina and Adam LaRoche in the sixth inning. With the loss, he drops to 1-3 on the season, though he still sports a very respectable 3.47 ERA. He’ll attempt to get back in the win column when he takes on the Marlins in Miami next week.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher
Kevin Correia was torched for 10 runs in 2 1/3 innings by the Twins on Saturday.
Correia certainly didn’t finish his spring on a high note. After starting off with nine scoreless innings, he allowed 14 runs in his final two starts. NL-only leaguers will want to stay away.

Kevin Correia was shelled for 12 hits and 10 earned runs Saturday against the Twins.
Correia did not yield a walk, but he also didn’t strike out a single batter. The 31-year-old right-hander is scheduled to act as an important piece of Pittsburgh’s 2012 starting rotation, which says quite a bit about the Pirates’ chances this year.

Kevin Correia (side) is expected to start Monday against the Rockies.
Correia was scratched from his start Saturday, but he insists his side is fine. Brad Lincoln will be around in case Pirates manager Clint Hurdle changes his mind.
