Leon Boyd picked up his fourth save in his fourth appearance for Double-A New Hampshire on Thursday.
The 25-year-old Boyd was the closer for the Netherlands in the WBC. The Jays signed him to a minor league deal after the tourney, and he’s pitched 4 1/3 spotless innings for the Fisher Cats to date. It’s highly unlikely that he’ll ever close for a major league team, but we could see him in Toronto’s pen this summer.
