Orioles RHP prospect Lucas Long fanned eight hitters over eight scoreless innings Tuesday in a win for High-A Frederick.
The eight-inning effort was the longest of Long’s career. Tuesday also marked the right-hander’s first win of 2016. 63 of his season-high 91 pitches went for strikes. The 23-year-old has become a ground-ball specialist. He induced 11 groundouts Tuesday including two double plays. Long joined the Keys late last month after beginning the year with Low-A Delmarva.
