The 24-year-old southpaw spent the 2022 season in the White Sox organization, posting a 3.33 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and a 62/26 K/BB ratio over 46 frames. He’s expected to begin his Brewers tenure as bullpen depth at Double-A Biloxi.

Amaya posted an underwhelming 5.57 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 70/33 K/BB ratio across 53 1/3 innings (33 appearances, five starts) at Double-A Richmond in the Giants’ farm system last year. The 23-year-old southpaw will add some minor-league relief depth for the White Sox this season.
