The Kansas City Star believes that no Mark Teahen-to-the-White Sox deal has been completed.
None of the players have been informed of the trade, as of yet. The New York Daily News and Chicago Sun-Times both indicated that a deal was done, and there’s little reason to doubt that it was essentially agreed to. However, since nothing has become official, it’s still possible that one of the two sides will back out.

The Royals will likely not call up Mark Teahen this month.
Teahen will most probably finish the season at Triple-A Omaha, take a rest, and then play in the Arizona Fall League in October. He remains a good bet to become the Royals’ starting third baseman before the end of next season.

Mark Teahen left the Royals today to attend his grandfather’s funeral.
It’s uncertain whether he’ll be back for tomorrow’s game. Joe McEwing is playing third base tonight.

Mark Teahen went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and an RBI double in the Royals’ 7-3 win over the White Sox on Wednesday night.
Teahen has hit in nine of 10 games and he walked three times in the other game. Amazingly, his OPS is all the way up to 899 in 260 at-bats. He was at 592 in 77 at-bats when he was sent down in early May.

Royals recalled third baseman Mark Teahen from Triple-A Omaha.
Teahen is starting at third base and batting seventh on Saturday night. Since the Royals are trying to discover whether he should still be in their plans, he’ll likely get most of the starts in the near future. Tony Graffanino and Esteban German will receive fewer at-bats as a result.

Mark Teahen went 4-for-4 with two RBI and a walk as the Royals scored 16 runs on Thursday.
Teahen is 8-for-20 with a homer and six RBI in five games since being recalled last week. AL-only leaguers should enjoy the production for as long as it lasts.

Triple-A Omaha’s Mark Teahen finished 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBI on Tuesday.
After a slow start, Teahen is batting .392/.500/.588 in 15 games since being demoted. If he keeps hitting, the Royals will probably give him another opportunity next month.

The Royals are reportedly expected to recall Mark Teahen from Triple-A prior to Saturday’s game.
Teahen has hit .380 in 24 games since being sent down last month, but batted just .195 in 23 games with the Royals. He should get plenty of playing time at third base.

Mark Teahen continued his recent scorching play with a 4-for-4 performance Tuesday as the Royals dumped Cleveland 5-2.
Teahen, who had to be farmed out when he slumped badly earlier this season, has been blazing lately. With two runs, two RBI, two doubles and a two-run homer Tuesday, he’s now scored 10 runs, driven in eight, and produced six doubles and three homers in the past 13 games. Teahen even stole two bases tonight, and is batting .295 with 21 doubles, 16 homers and 61 RBI for the year. Looks like the Royals are finally reaping the benefits from the Carlos Beltran deal.
