Carson posted a respectable .871 OPS with 24 homers and 75 RBI in 112 games this year at the Triple-A level. The 30-year-old will function as organizational outfield depth for the Twins during the 2012 season.

Carson is going fill the roster spot left vacant by Denard Span, who has been placed on the disabled list because of a sprained SC joint. Carson, a 31-year-old outfielder, went 8-for-21 in a stint earlier this season with Minnesota but is doubtful to carry any fantasy value.
