Strong had allowed a whopping seven earned runs in just 2 2/3 innings of work this spring in the Cactus League. He’s nothing more than organizational relief depth.

Strong held a 3.82 ERA with nearly a strikeout per inning over 66 relief innings between Double- and Triple-A in 2015. He turned 27 last month.

Strong has now been claimed off waivers twice in the last seven weeks. The left-hander held a 3.68 ERA and 61/31 K/BB ratio over 66 innings between Double- and Triple-A last season in the Brewers organization.
