Beachy, 28, missed all of last season following Tommy John surgery and became a free agent when he was non-tendered by the Braves in December. He’s still just 10 months removed from surgery and likely won’t be ready to contribute at the major league level when the season begins, so there’s no rush for him to sign if he’s still in the process of building arm strength. Either way, he’ll likely have to settle for an incentive-laden deal.
