For the first time in his career Bryce Harper finally faced a pitcher younger than him

It took five professional seasons and more than 2,300 plate appearances, but Bryce Harper finally faced a pitcher younger than him today when he matched up against Yankees reliever Jacob Lindgren.

Harper, who’s 22 years and 237 days old, flied out to left field against Lindgren, who’s 22 years and 90 days old.

While facing exclusively pitchers older than him before this afternoon Harper hit .300 with a .917 OPS in the minors and .280 with an .865 OPS in the majors.
