Mets minor league outfielder Jared King came up with a creative way to propose to his girlfriend Maggie before Saturday’s game between the Single-A Savannah Sand Gnats took on the Rome Braves. Per ESPN’s Adam Rubin, Maggie threw out the ceremonial first pitch, then Jared proposed to her. She said yes.

King, 22, was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 draft out of Kansas State University. In 101 plate appearances with the Sand Gnats, King has an .804 OPS.
