Micah Johnson’s disappointing 2015 season will end with a surgical procedure.

Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com reports that the White Sox infielder is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Thursday. It’s just a cleanup procedure and Johnson should be 100 percent heading into spring training next February.

The 24-year-old opened the season as Chicago’s starting second baseman, but he got demoted to Triple-A Charlotte in mid-May after batting .270/.333/.297 in 27 games while playing wretched defense. Johnson does have very good minor league numbers, especially in the speed department.
