Tigers ace David Price exited Friday night’s start in the seventh inning after stepping on a bat while backing up home plate, but an MRI exam revealed good news: Price has been diagnosed with a mild hamstring strain.
Jason Beck of MLB.com reports that the Tigers will wait until early next week to determine when his next start will be, depending on how quickly he recovers over the weekend.
For now, though, he’s avoided the disabled list and it certainly sounds like the Tigers don’t expect him to miss more than one start, if that.
