Last week, Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber broke someone’s car windshield with one of his batting practice home runs. It’s not a terribly uncommon sight at spring training as parking lots have closer proximity to the stadium than the teams’ regular season homes. But it still takes a lot of power to send a baseball far enough that it puts cars in danger.
Nelson Cruz is the latest to destroy a windshield, as the Mariners noted on their official Twitter:

No word yet on if he helped arrange the repair of the damaged windshield, as Schwarber did.
Cruz, 35, is heading into the second year of his four-year, $57 million contract with the Mariners. This past season, he blasted 44 home runs, drove in 93 runs, and hit .302/.369/.566 in 655 plate appearances.
