Orioles have early lead over Royals in Game 3 of ALCS

The Orioles are off to a good start as they look to avoid going down 3-0 in the best-of-seven American League Championship Series. Steve Pearce hit a one-out double to left-center in the top of the second and then J.J. Hardy followed with a double of his own, plating the only run of the game thus far.

Orioles starter Wei-Yin Chen looks sharp, having faced just one batter over the minimum through three scoreless innings. It’s 1-0 for the visiting O’s as Game 3 of the ALCS moves along to the bottom of the fourth inning at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie has already thrown 83 pitches through four. It’ll likely be an early bullpen night for the host team.
