Kluber told reporters Wednesday night that he was completely surprised to win the award: “I wasn’t expecting it. I definitely thought Felix [Hernandez] was going to win. He had such a great year. I guess I just assumed that who he was and how good of a year he had, and all that kind of stuff, would get him more votes.”
