The Indians lost 9-6 to the Blue Jays on Saturday, ending their 14-game winning streak, but there was a bright spot as Rajai Davis hit for the cycle, becoming the eighth player in Indians history to do so. He’s the second player to hit for the cycle this season, joining the Braves’ Freddie Freeman, who did it on June 15 against the Reds. Davis is the first Indian to hit for the cycle since Travis Hafner on August 14, 2003 against the Twins.
Davis homered to lead off the game against Jays starter Marco Estrada, a line drive down the left field line that caromed off of the facing of the second deck. Next, in the third inning, he dunked a ball into shallow left field, which escaped a diving Ezequiel Carrera, allowing Davis to motor to third base on an RBI triple. In the seventh, he doubled to center field. Finally, in the ninth, Davis singled to shallow right-center against Jays closer Roberto Osuna to complete the cycle and cap off a 4-for-5 afternoon.

Davis brought his triple-slash line up to a very respectable .275/.335/.454 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 276 plate appearances.
The Indians are now 49-31, still enjoying a comfortable six-game lead over the second-place Royals in the AL Central.
