Jackson was limited to 11 minor league games in 2014 due to a right wrist injury that ultimately required surgery. The 26-year-old was a fifth-round pick of the Cardinals in 2009 and played 20 games for St. Louis between 2012-2013. He has a good glove and will act as solid organizational infield depth for the Royals.
