Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports that Stephen Drew is retiring.

Drew, 35, and the brother of fellow major leaguers J.D. and Tim Drew, played the last two seasons for the Washington Nationals. Before that he called New York, Boston, Oakland and Arizona home. He was a first round pick of the Dbacks back in 2004 and made his major league debut in 2006.

Over the course of his 12-year big league career Drew hit .252/.318/.423 (OPS+ 94) with 123 homers while primarily manning shortstop.
