We’ve all heard the story of how a young Stanley Burrell -- more famously and ridiculously known as M.C. Hammer -- once worked for the Oakland A’s. You may not know the details of that gig, however. If you don’t, The Common Man has a post up about it over at The Platoon Advantage this afternoon.

The surprising thing: Hammer actually had the title of Vice President for a while. As a teenager. But then, as TCM notes, he left that employment:

Burrell left his job with the A’s (presumably because he was not legit enough, and therefore had to quit) after he graduated from high school, and eventually joined the Navy for three years.

Zing!
