In case you’re not impressed with the Torii Hunter signing or the idea of Anibal Sanchez being around all year, remember Tigers fans, you’re basically adding an All-Star caliber bat this offseason too:

[Dave] Dombrowski said designated hitter Victor Martinez (knee) remains on schedule to begin spring training. “I can’t say he’s 100 percent but he’s very close,” Dombrowski said. “We anticipate he’ll be 100 percent for spring training. He’s doing very well.”

Martinez hit .330/.389/.470 and drove in 103 runs in 2011. Needless to say, that -- or anything even close to that -- plays better than anything Delmon Young have the Tigers in 2012.
