Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed opened the scoring on Wednesday night against the Dodgers, racing around the bases for an inside-the-park solo home run in the top of the first inning off of Alex Wood.
Ahmed is having his best offensive season thus far, entering Wednesday’s action batting .227/.298/.427. The homer was his sixth and he now has 18 RBI.
