Mahan

Mahan was a third-round pick of the Marlins back in 2017 and has yet to reach the majors. The 27-year-old infielder was plucked out of the independent Atlantic League last year by the Giants and was cut loose earlier this month after batting .193 (32-for-166) with eight homers and two steals in 46 games for Double-A Richmond.

The 26-year-old was tearing it up for the Kentucky Wild Health Genomes in the independent Atlantic League, slashing .411/.500/.789 with eight homers, 22 RBI, three swipes and a 22/15 K/BB ratio over 106 plate appearances. He’ll add minor league depth for the Giants.

Mahan, a third-round selection out of Kentucky back in 2017, hit .204/.370/.324 with six homers across 304 plate appearances last year at Double-A Pensacola.
