MLB suspended Angels RHP Ryan Aldridge 50 games for testing positive for an amphetamine.
Aldridge missed much of the year, but had a 2.05 ERA and 10 saves in 26 1/3 innings for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Arkansas when healthy. Although he looked like a pretty good relief prospect before he lost 2007 to shoulder problems, he’s a long shot now.
