Mets acquired LHP Ryan Ammons and cash from the Red Sox for RHP Justin Slaten.
So, the Red Sox gave up their 2023 10th-round pick to move up a few spots in the Rule 5 draft. Ammons was mostly a reliever at Clemson, posting a 4.53 ERA over 51 2/3 innings during his college career. He’s yet to make his pro debut.
