Ryan Feltner allowed six hits and three runs – two earned – with nine strikeouts and zero walks across six innings to earn the win against the Giants on Friday.

The Rockies had amassed a seven-run lead by the third inning and Feltner cruised with that cushion. The trio of his fastball, slider, and changeup were especially lethal as each forced at least five swings-and-misses. That’s amazing, but this is a rarity for Feltner who rarely misses bats or even strikes hitters out. His 17 total whiffs were the third most in any start of his career and the most since April 2024. To further show how rarely Feltner stacks up strikeouts like this, his nine in this game are one quarter of his season total. Don’t get roped into this.

Ryan Feltner held the Twins to two runs — one earned — over six innings in a no-decision for the Rockies on Sunday.

Feltner didn’t issue a strikeout nor a walk. He also allowed only six hard-hit balls, so while he was far from dominant, the 29-year-old righty did have solid command of his arsenal in another solid outing, his fourth quality start in six tries since returning from the injured list. It’s still hard to trust Feltner given his previous success and lack of swing-and-miss in his arsenal, but he’ll try and keep it going against the Giants on Friday.

Ryan Feltner yielded two runs in six innings Monday against the Red Sox.

Feltner walked four, but the Red Sox did a poor job of making him pay. It’s the third time in five starts since coming off the IL that Feltner has completed six innings and turned in a quality start. He’s 2-2 with a 4.79 ERA in 10 starts overall, and he’ll likely make his next start Sunday against the Twins.

Ryan Feltner yielded two runs in 4 2/3 innings and fanned seven versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Feltner was pulled one out shy of qualifying for a win in a 5-2 game, a move that’ll probably save the Rockies somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000 when it comes to determining his salary in arbitration over the winter. Feltner is 2-2 with a 5.05 ERA through nine starts, making him something close to a league-average pitcher as a Coors Field starter. He’ll likely face the Red Sox in Denver next week.

After opening up with three scoreless frames, Ryan Feltner went on to allow six runs in 4 1/ 3 innings Thursday against the Cubs.

Feltner gave up two hits, a walk and a Seiya Suzuki grand slam in the fourth and then walked two more batters before being pulled with one out in the fifth. Both runners went on to score after Blas Castaño took over. Feltner was effective in his first two starts off the IL, but his season ERA is back up to 5.20 after this. He’ll face the Cubs again next week, though he won’t have to deal with Coors then.

Ryan Feltner allowed one run while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Friday.

Feltner stranded a runner in the first inning, then gave up a run on a hit, walk, and groundout in the second. He settled in nicely, silencing the Brewers’ bats across four more perfect innings, ending his day after six at 81 pitches with four strikeouts. The 29-year-old right-hander will take a 4.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 23/10 K/BB ratio across 32 innings into a start against the Cubs in Colorado next Thursday.

Ryan Feltner blanked the Giants for six innings Saturday to earn a win in his return from the injured list.

He allowed four hits, walked none and struck out two in improving to 2-1 with a 4.85 ERA. Feltner, who missed five weeks with ulnar nerve irritation, should be locked into Colorado’s rotation until Chase Dollander returns and probably for the rest of the year as long as he pitches up to his ability. His career record stands at 11-27 with a 5.17 ERA, but that says more about the Rockies and Coors Field than it does about him. He’ll pitch in Milwaukee next time out.

Ryan Feltner (elbow) completed a high-intensity bullpen session on Friday.

Feltner hit the shelf with nerve irritation in his elbow back on April 24. He’ll need at least a couple minor league rehab outings before he’s ready to jump back into Colorado’s rotation later this month.

Rockies’ manager Warren Schaeffer told reporters on Friday that the MRI on the injured elbow of Ryan Feltner came back clean.

He’s just dealing with a bit of inflammation, and the Rockies are hopeful that he’ll be able to return after a minimum stint on the injured list. You can never be too sure with elbow injuries, but it sounds like barring any setbacks he should be ready to rejoin the Rockies’ rotation at some point in May.
