Ryan Feltner (elbow) completed a high-intensity bullpen session on Friday.
Feltner hit the shelf with nerve irritation in his elbow back on April 24. He’ll need at least a couple minor league rehab outings before he’s ready to jump back into Colorado’s rotation later this month.

Rockies’ manager Warren Schaeffer told reporters on Friday that the MRI on the injured elbow of Ryan Feltner came back clean.
He’s just dealing with a bit of inflammation, and the Rockies are hopeful that he’ll be able to return after a minimum stint on the injured list. You can never be too sure with elbow injuries, but it sounds like barring any setbacks he should be ready to rejoin the Rockies’ rotation at some point in May.

Rockies placed RHP Ryan Feltner on the 15-day injured list with right ulnar nerve irritation.
Feltner was pulled from Thursday’s start against the Padres after just two innings due to tightness in his triceps and further evaluation led to the unfortunate diagnosis. There’s no clear timetable yet on how long he’ll be shelved for, but fantasy managers in deeper redraft leagues can probably go ahead and cut bait at this point. Sammy Peralta was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move on Friday.

Ryan Feltner was removed from Thursday’s start against the Padres after two innings due tightness in his right triceps.
Feltner had allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out three batters through his first two innings. Zach Agnos then replaced him when the Rockies took the field in the third inning. He’ll head for further evaluation to determine the extent of the injury, though it sounds like a trip to the injured list could be in the cards.

Ryan Feltner was charged for three runs — two earned — over 5 1/3 innings while not factoring into the decision versus the Dodgers on Saturday.
Feltner gave up a two-run homer to Kyle Tucker in the first inning with no one out, but after that, it was a surprisingly effective outing for the right-hander. He scattered five hits, walked just one, and kept the Dodgers at bay even while allowing two homers. It’s hard to take it too seriously, but good for Feltner. He’ll look to continue lowering his 6.00 ERA against the Padres on Thursday.

Ryan Feltner was charged for seven runs in four innings in a loss to the Padres on Saturday.
Feltner continues to scuffle, as he has for most of his MLB career. .He allowed a pair of homers, issued three walks, and threw just 51-of-82 pitches for strikes while seeing his ERA balloon to 7.30. Pretty typical, sadly. Feltner will likely see similar results barring something unforeseeable against the Dodgers on Friday.

Ryan Feltner gave up four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings but still picked up a win over the Rockies on Monday.
Feltner was fortunate to get the W, as it was much more about the Colorado offense than effective pitching. He issues two walks, struck out just one batter, and generated all of three swings and misses over 70 pitches. Hard pass, but good enough for the win Monday. Feltner will be back on the mound Saturday against the Padres.

Ryan Feltner was removed from Tuesday’s start against the Blue Jays with a right glute contusion.
Feltner was struck on the backside by a 106-mph comebacker from Andrés Giménez at the conclusion of the third inning of his season debut, according to a team statement. It certainly doesn’t sound like a serious concern and fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day heading into his next start against the Astros at Coors Field on Monday.

Ryan Feltner left Tuesday’s start against the Blue Jays with an apparent leg injury.
Feltner appeared to be limping while coming off the mound after completing three shutout frames on 47 pitches (30 strikes) in his season debut north of the border. There should be an update on his status following the contest. His next start is on Monday against the Astros at Coors Field.

Rockies’ manager Warren Schaeffer announced Sunday that Chase Dollander will begin the season in the team’s bullpen.
That means Ryan Feltner will begin the year as the team’s fifth starter. Dollander, 24, didn’t do himself any favors during Cactus League play, posting a miserable 6.43 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and a 10/7 K/BB ratio over 14 innings. It’s difficult to envision him working through his issues in short spurts in the bullpen though, so perhaps the Rockies would be better served keeping him stretched out at Triple-A Albuquerque.
