Rockies recalled LHP Sammy Peralta from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Peralta will get another opportunity to work out of the Rockies’ bullpen with TJ Shook getting optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. The 28-year-old southpaw has allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over 2/3 of an inning in one appearance with the big league club this season.

The 28-year-old southpaw will add a fresh arm to the Rockies’ bullpen mix for at least a few days while the Rockies figure out how to cover Chase Dollander’s spot in the rotation. Peralta has posted a 3.79 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 14/5 K/BB ratio across 19 innings at the Triple-A level this season.

Rockies optioned LHP Sammy Peralta to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Peralta didn’t end up making an appearance for the Rockies after being called up last week to fortify their bullpen mix. The 27-year-old lefty has made 30 relief appearances in the big leagues dating back to 2023.

Rockies recalled LHP Sammy Peralta from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Peralta was claimed off of waivers from the Brewers in early April. He’ll get his first shot to work out of the Rockies’ bullpen with Ryan Feltner (elbow) heading to the injured list on Friday. It’s possible it’ll be a short-term move as the Rockies decide how to replace Feltner in their rotation as someone will ultimately need to be sent back out to make room for that replacement starter next week. He’ll function in a middle relief role for first-year manager Warren Schaeffer.

Rockies claimed LHP Sammy Peralta off waivers from the Brewers.
Peralta will head to Triple-A as organizational relief depth for Colorado after being removed from Milwaukee’s 40-man roster earlier this week to make room for Luis Matos. The 27-year-old lefty has posted a serviceable 5.12 ERA across 45 2/3 innings in the big leagues since 2023.

Brewers designated LHP Sammy Peralta for assignment.
The move frees up a spot on Milwaukee’s 40-man roster following the acquisition of former prospect Luis Matos from the Giants. The 27-year-old lefty holds a respectable 5.12 ERA — 5.05 xERA — 1.71 WHIP and 37/24 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings in the majors since 2023. There should be some interest on waivers in the coming days.

Brewers optioned LHP Sammy Peralta to Triple-A Nashville.
Peralta will open the regular season back at Triple-A after being claimed off waivers from the Angels last October. The 27-year-old lefty posted a serviceable 5.12 ERA (5.05 xERA), 1.71 WHIP and 37/24 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings in the majors since 2023.

Brewers claimed LHP Sammy Peralta off waivers from the Angels.
Peralta, 27, has a 5.12 ERA and a 37/24 K/BB in 45 2/3 innings of relief work for the White Sox and Angels the last three seasons. That he throws just above sidearm makes him pretty tough on lefties, but his lack of velocity is a problem against righties. If he sticks on the 40-man, he’ll compete for a bullpen spot in spring training.

Angels recalled LHP Sammy Peralta from Triple-A Salt Lake.
The 27-year-old southpaw joins the bullpen for the final two days of the season with Luis Garcia heading to the injured list. Peralta has posted an 8.38 ERA, 2.07 WHIP and a 7/6 K/BB ratio over 9 2/3 innings in four appearances with the Halos this season.
