Rangers re-signed RHP Scott Engler to a minor league contract.
Engler returns to the Rangers’ organization after spending six years in their minor league system. The 26-year-old right-hander didn’t pitch last season after posting a solid 3.71 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 64/24 K/BB ratio across 53 1/3 innings (37 appearances) between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. He’ll bolster the Rangers’ organizational relief depth.
