Marlins re-signed RHP Scott Sanders to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Sanders, who last pitched in the majors in 1999, went 7-5 with a 3.92 ERA, 124 H, 110/32 K/BB in 117 IP for Triple-A Albuquerque last season. He probably won’t make the team out of spring training next year, but it would be nice to see him join the Florida bullpen at some point.

Scott Sanders allowed one run in a complete game for Triple-A Albuquerque yesterday and has a 1.79 ERA since joining the team last month.
Sanders hasn’t pitched in the majors since 1999, but if the Marlins need a starting pitcher, they’ll have to consider him. He’s fanned 43 and given up 42 hits in 45 1/3 innings for Albuquerque.
