Rockies purchased the contract of outfielder Sean Barker from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Barker, 27, will make his major league debut after hitting .323/.364/.556 in 162 at-bats for the Sky Sox. He could get a couple of starts while the Rockies are in AL parks, but he’ll primarily be used as a pinch-hitter. It’s not very likely that he’ll last as a bench player.
