Brewers reassigned LHP Thomas Pannone, LHP Bruce Zimmermann, LHP Tyler Jay, C David Garcia, 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr., 2B Anthony Seigler, INF Cooper Pratt, OF Luis Lara and OF Jimmy Herron to minor league camp.
No surprises in this round of cuts for the Brewers. Pannone might have had a slight chance of claiming a spot, but he’s dealing with an injury. Pratt, arguably the team’s best prospect, impressed by going 5-for-14 with three doubles.

Thomas Pannone dazzled in Saturday’s Cactus League start against the Rockies, allowing just one hit over three innings of shutout baseball.
The 29-year-old southpaw struck out two batters on the afternoon while issuing one free pass. The lone hit that he allowed in the contest came on a two-out single by Sean Bouchard in the third inning. His two punchouts were courtesy of Bouchard and Nolan Jones. He has been outstanding in three appearances thus far in Cactus League action, hurling six scoreless frames with a 0.50 WHIP and a 4/1 K/BB ratio. As long as he doesn’t completely implode over the final few weeks of spring training. Pannone has a good shot at cracking the Cubs’ Opening Day bullpen.
