    Mets released LHP Tom Windle.
Windle recorded a lackluster 5.48 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 14/21 K/BB ratio across 23 innings at Triple-A Syracuse this season. The 29-year-old former second-round selection back in 2013 has yet to appear in the majors.

Mets signed RHP Tom Windle to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Windle, a 6-foot-4 left-hander, put up a 4.26 ERA and 51/32 K/BB ratio over 50 2/3 relief innings with the Phillies’ Triple-A affiliate in 2019. He’s best known as part of the return (along with Zach Eflin) from the Dodgers in the Jimmy Rollins deal in 2014. At this point, he’s just organizational depth.

Phillies prospect Tom Windle bounced back with a strong outing Sunday for Double-A Reading.
Windle quieted Harrisburg with seven innings of two-hit ball. The left-hander finished with a season-best nine strikeouts. This outing represents a major improvement for Windle, who let up a combined 18 hits during his first two starts. The 23-year-old was acquired from the Dodgers this offseason as part of the Jimmy Rollins trade.

Dodgers left-handed pitching prospect Tom Windle tossed seven shutout innings for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, striking out seven while allowing three hits (all singles) and two walks.
Windle also induced two double plays as part of his great outing, bouncing back from three straight rough outings. Windle has the potential of a #3 pitcher, but his below-average command could turn him into a hard-throwing reliever with a good slider and a show-me change-up. He was drafted in the second round of the 2013 draft out of the University of Minnesota.

Windle, a second-round pick in the 2013 Draft, holds a 3.82 ERA and 162/64 K/BB ratio over his first 193 professional innings. The left-hander has mid-rotation potential.
