Astros prospect Anthony Pluta underwent Tommy John surgery Friday and is out for the season.
Pluta established himself as one of Houston’s top pitching prospects after an impressive 2001 season, but he’s been a disappointment ever since. He had great stuff before getting hurt, so maybe he’ll reemerge in 2005.
