Padres optioned RHP Ty Adcock to Triple-A El Paso; reassigned INF/OF Samad Taylor and LHP Jackson Wolf.
The latest batch of cuts trims Padres camp down to 51 players with just over one week left until Opening Day. Adcock has made 18 relief appearances between the Mets and Mariners since 2023. He’ll open the year back in the minors as organizational depth.

Padres signed RHP Ty Adcock to a one-year contract.
A major league deal for Adcock is surprising, but the Padres had just 34 players on the 40-man and even a couple of them seem pretty expendable. Also, Adcock, who turns 29 in February, has been very successful in the Dominican Republic this winter, allowing two runs and posting a 15/0 K/BB in nine innings for Estrellas. Adcock has a 5.48 ERA in 23 major league innings since debuting with the Mariners in 2023. He allowed one run in three innings for the Mets last season and had a 4.65 ERA and a 35/14 K/BB in 36 2/3 innings for Triple-A Syracuse. He’s out of options, so he’ll likely have a bullpen spot on Opening Day.

Mets sent RHP Ty Adcock outright to Triple-A Syracuse.
The Mets removed the 28-year-old hurler from their 40-man roster earlier in the week but he went unclaimed on waivers and will stick around as extra bullpen depth. He has done a nice job in three games out of the Mets’ bullpen this season, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 5/2 K/BB ratio across three innings.

Mets optioned RHP Ty Adcock to Triple-A Syracuse.
Adcock, 28, has done a nice job in three appearances with the Mets this season, registering a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 5/2 K/BB ratio over his three frames. He threw 24 pitches on Wednesday against the Braves though and was unlikely to be available on Thursday, so the Mets opted to swap him out for a fresh arm. He should get another opportunity with the big league club before the summer is through.

Mets recalled RHP Ty Adcock from Triple-A Syracuse.
Adcock has made four relief appearances for the Mets over the past two seasons. The 28-year-old provides New York’s bullpen with a fresh arm heading into Sunday’s series finale against the Rays at Citi Field.

Mets optioned RHP Ty Adcock to Triple-A Syracuse.
Adcock’s stay with the Mets lasted just one day this time around after giving up a walk and a hit over 1/3 of an inning on Thursday. He’ll continue to hone his craft at the Triple-A level until he’s needed once again. Austin Warren was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to take his place in the Mets’ bullpen on Friday.

Mets selected the contract of RHP Ty Adcock from Triple-A Syracuse.
Adcock, 28, comes up after allowing one run in seven innings for Syracuse. The righty, who served stints with the Mariners in 2023 and the Mets last season, has a 5.85 ERA in 15 career major league relief appearances.

Mets reassigned RHPs Brandon Sproat, Blade Tidwell, Adbert Alzolay, Oliver Ortega, Ty Adcock and Dom Hamel, C Kevin Parada, INFs Ryan Clifford, Jett Williams and Luke Ritter and OFs Drew Gilbert and Rafael Ortega to minor league camp.
New York shipped the majority of their top prospects over the minor-league camp during their latest batch of spring cuts. Sproat is the major headliner here after impressing last Friday in a pair of scoreless frames against the Nationals. Tidwell fired an immaculate inning and struck out five over two frames over the weekend against the Rays. Meanwhile, Clifford, Gilbert and Williams have a shot at ascending to the big leagues at some point in the near future.

    Mets released RHP Ty Adcock.
Adcock has been cut loose after going unclaimed on waivers following his removal from New York’s 40-man roster earlier this week at the trade deadline. The 27-year-old righty made just three relief appearances for the Mets after being claimed off waivers back in late May from the Mariners.
