Outfielder Will Smith was traded from the Marlins to the Rangers in a four-player deal.
Smith, 21, missed the first two months of the season, but since returning, he’s hit .293 with 1 HR, 13 RBI, 21/11 K/BB and 1 SB in 123 AB for Double-A Carolina. He projects as a decent reserve outfielder.
