Pereda will provide some depth behind the plate in Tacoma. Joe performed admirably this spring, and if he doesn’t report to Triple-A, there could be interest in his bat on the open market.

Zulueta heads to Seattle just a few hours after being jettisoned from Cincinnati’s 40-man roster. The 27-year-old former relief prospect fits the mold for the Mariners bullpen as a sinker/slider combo power arm that holds a serviceable 4.21 FIP and 25/11 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings at the big-league level since 2024.

Zulueta has posted a 5.32 ERA over 23 2/3 innings in brief looks with the Reds the last two years, but his mid-90s fastball and slider helped him amass a 31.2% strikeout rate in Triple-A last season. Odds are that some team will decide to give him a look and claim him off waivers.

Zulueta worked three straight days from Sept. 1-3 but hadn’t pitched since. He’s made a total of seven appearances for the Reds this season, giving up five runs in 7 1/3 innings.

Zulueta will rejoin the pen. He has allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings for the Reds this season.

Zuleta will head back to the minors after firing two scoreless innings Thursday against the Pirates. The 27-year-old likely will be back before the end of 2025.

The 27-year-old Zulueta has allowed one run in 2 1/3 innings for the Reds this season. He had a 3.86 ERA in 42 innings out of the pen for Louisville.

Zulueta provides Cincinnati with some extra bullpen depth for the second game of Wednesday’s twin bill at Fenway Park. The 27-year-old righty has made only two relief appearances this season in the big leagues. He’ll likely head back to Triple-A Louisville at the end of the night.

Zulueta did not pitch during his two-day stint with the Reds. He has a 5.33 ERA and a 29/17 K/BB in 25 1/3 innings for Louisville this season.

Zulueta provides the Reds with a fresh bullpen arm ahead of Sunday’s series finale against the Cardinals. The 27-year-old righty has made 14 relief appearances in the big leagues over the last two seasons. He’ll operate in middle relief for Cincinnati.
