Rockies acquired RHP Yujanyer Herrera and RHP Bradley Blalock from the Brewers for RHP Nick Mears.
Herrera, 20, has been terrific in 16 outings (nine starts) between Single-A Carolina and High-A Wisconsin this season — posting a 2.91 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 77/23 K/BB ratio across his 68 innings of work. He’s a few years away from making an impact at the big-league level, and his ultimate future may be out of the bullpen, but this is a highly intriguing young arm.
