    Angels released RHP Zac Kristofak.
Kristofak made one relief appearance last month for the Angels before being designated for assignment last week. The 26-year-old righty presumably went unclaimed on waivers and is now a free agent.

Angels designated RHP Zac Kristofak for assignment.
The 26-year-old hurler was optioned to Triple-A earlier in the week, but now he gets the boot from the 40-man roster as well to make room for Willie Calhoun on Wednesday. There’s a chance that a team in need of bullpen depth could take a flier on him on waivers.

Angels optioned RHP Zac Kristofak to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Kristofak threw two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in his MLB debut on Sunday. The 26-year-old will head back to Triple-A with the Angels needing a fresh arm. In this case, it’s Davis Daniel who was recalled from Salt Lake to take Kristofak’s place.
  • Angels selected the contract of RHP Zac Kristofak from Triple-A Salt Lake.
As expected, Kristofak joins the Angels’ bullpen with Jose Cisnero heading to the injured list as the corresponding transaction. A 2019 fourth-round selection, Kristofak should be a middle-inning option while he’s with Los Angeles.
  • Robert Murray of FanSided reports that the Angels will select the contract of RHP Zac Kristofac.
Kristofak has made six appearances for Triple-A Salt Lake — three of those starts — with a 3.38 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 18.2 innings of work. The 2019 fourth-round pick will likely be a multi-inning relief option for the Angels while he’s on the roster.
