LAKEWOOD, Colorado: Belgium Sacha Coenen won the second 250 moto at Thunder Valley Motocross Park as the Japanese rider Jo Shimoda scored the overall victory ith results of third in Moto 1 and second in Moto 2.
Jo Shimoda passed for third on Lap 8 and accrued enough points for the the overall win. He passed Ryder DiFrancesco on the final lap to pad his advantage,
Levi Kitchen won the first moto, but was involved in a first turn crash with his teammate Seth Hammaker. They finished first and second in Moto 1 and entered the race as the top-two points contenders. Both Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders charged through the field, but Kitchen was more successful. Hammaker made a final pass in the closing laps, and the teammates each have a share of the red plate.
Nick Romano finished third overall.
Ryder DiFrancesco finished fourth overall after landing ninth on the Moto 1 chart and second in Moto 2.
Hammaker was finished second and 12th,
Sacha Coenen earned the holeshot in Moto 2. He finished 14th in Moto 1 to be credited with fourth overall.
