Sebastian Ogier picked up his fourth victory in Rally GB on Sunday as Volkswagen wrapped up the World Rally Championship manufacturers’ title.

Ogier clinched his fourth straight world title by winning the Rally de España two weeks ago, but showed few signs of relenting by dominating proceedings in Wales.

The Frenchman saw off a rally-long threat from M-Sport Ford racer Ott Tanak, who won 12 stages before falling 10.2 seconds shy come the end of the event.

The result saw Volkswagen wrap up its fourth consecutive manufacturers’ title, mirroring Ogier’s success, with one round to spare in 2016.

It also marked Ogier’s fourth consecutive victory, with his last defeat coming in Finland at the end of July when Kris Meeke was victorious for Citroen.

The 2016 WRC season closes out with Rally Australia on November 18-20.
