2015 Season in Review: Clint Bowyer
CREW CHIEF: Brian Pattie (16 races)/Billy Scott (18 races )/Dax Gerringer (two races)
TEAM: Michael Waltrip Racing
Top 5s: Two (Career low)
TOP 10s: 12
LAPS LED: 11 (Career low)
WHAT WENT RIGHT: Very little. Bowyer did make the Chase for the Sprint Cup for the first time since 2013, but only after the announcement that Michael Waltrip Racing would be closing at the end of the year ... Finished third at Sonoma Raceway, his best finish since the fall Talladega race in 2014 ... Signed on for the 2016 season with HScott Motorsports and was announced as the replacement for Tony Stewart in the No. 14 beginning in 2017.
WHAT WENT WRONG: Bowyer finished his third straight season without a win ... Finished 16th in the points, the second lowest result of his career ... Recorded three DNFs.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2016: Bowyer will arguably be the best driver that’s ever raced for HScott Motorsports. He will be looking for his first win since the fall Charlotte race in 2012.
