Kyle Larson fell short of making the Chase for the Sprint Cup, but he’s likely heartened somewhat by the “freakin cool” news Dale Earnhardt Jr. tweeted out Saturday night.
Earnhardt announced after the Federated Auto Parts at Richmond that Larson will be driving a Camping World Truck in this Friday’s race at Chicagoland Speedway for JR Motorsports.

Larson has made nine career starts in a Truck with one win, four top-five and six top-10 finishes, as well as two poles.
Needless to say, he’s looking forward to adding to that stellar record.
