Sprint Cup driver points following the Daytona 500

On the final lap, Denny Hamlin made a bold move to get around a blocking Matt Kenseth and held on to edge Martin Truex Jr. at the finish line by .011 seconds to claim his first career Daytona 500 victory.

With his win in the Daytona 500, Denny Hamlin leaves Daytona International Speedway at the top of the Sprint Cup driver point standings.

The rest of the standings looks mostly like the final results of the race. Hamlin has a five point lead over Martin Truex Jr. The top five is rounded out by Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards.
