Timothy Peters, Ben Rhodes and Ben Kennedy were fastest in Thursday’s first Camping World Truck Series practice at Daytona International Speedway.
Peters’ Red Horse Racing Toyota was the only truck to break 189 mph, clocking in at 189.028 mph.
Rhodes was second-fastest at 188.687 mph, followed closely by Kennedy at 188.644 mph.
Other notable driver performances included defending ARCA champ Grant Enfinger being fourth fastest at 188.399 mph, Rico Abreu was 11th fastest at 187.122 mph and former series champ Matt Crafton registered in 24th at 181.532 mph.
There was one significant issue of note during the session: Scott Lagasse lost control on his first lap and slapped the wall, suffering moderate damage to his truck.
