Updating a previous report, Orlando has extended a training camp invite to Damjan Rudez.

The camp invite was initially reported as a “deal,” but Orlando won’t be offering Rudez any guaranteed money or even a spot on the roster. The Magic have a wealth of depth at both forward spots, so it’s tough to see Rudez winding up on Orlando’s opening-night roster.

Damjan Rudez has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Orlando Magic.

The terms of the deal are unclear at the moment, but Rudez appears poised to join the Magic for at least the 2016-17 season. While Rudez has had success overseas, he won’t have a huge role with the Magic and isn’t much of a fantasy option beyond deeper leagues.

They agreed to a deal back in August, but made it official this week. There are two roster spots in Orlando up for grabs and Rudez will be competing with Cliff Alexander, Branden Dawson, Nick Johnson, Kevin Murphy and Arinze Onuaku.
