The Cavaliers have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with G Daniel Hamilton.
According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, it’s an Exhibit 10 deal. He will compete for the Cavs final roster spot. Hamilton spent last season with the Hawks. In 19 games for Atlanta, he averaged 3.0 points and shot 34.8 percent from 3-point range before being waived in early February. He is not on the fantasy radar.

Daniel Hamilton came off the bench for nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes on Sunday.
Hamilton’s run as a starter ended after three games, in which he averaged 6.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He made only one 3-pointer without any steals or blocks in that span, though, so it was a bust for fantasy purposes. DeAndre’ Bembry got the start tonight and will get at least a few more, as the Hawks experiment with developing players in the absence of Kent Bazemore (ankle) and Taurean Prince (ankle). Given that some of Hamilton’s stats came in garbage time tonight, this solid line isn’t a reason to pick him up.

Daniel Hamilton will shift to a bench role on Sunday.
Hamilton wasn’t doing much as a starter anyway, so his absence shouldn’t impact fantasy lineups.
  • NBA Small Forward #95
DeAndre Bembry will replace Daniel Hamilton in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Hamilton had been doing a whole lot of nothing with the starting unit, so this move is long overdue, and Lloyd Pierce confirmed that Bembry will remain a starter for the rest of the week. Bembry is coming off a career-high, 19-point performance, and he could be looking at minutes in the 30s tonight, so it makes sense to swoop him up if you’ve got someone to cut.

Daniel Hamilton made a nice impression in his first NBA start, scoring eight points with six rebounds and three assists in just 16 minutes.
He was 4-of-8 from the field and made the most of his limited minutes with zero turnovers. Coach Lloyd Pierce talked about Hamilton’s defensive versatility and length before the game, and we know he can fill it up across the stat sheet like he’s shown in the G-League with averages of 18.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 triples. If his workload trends up, he’ll be a name to watch with Kent Bazemore (ankle) out a couple weeks.
  • Small Forward #5
Daniel Hamilton will start in place of Kent Bazemore (ankle) on Monday vs. the Pacers.
This will be his first NBA start and eighth appearance of the season. Hamilton has been a stat stuffer in the G-League with 18.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 triples, so deep-league owners should keep an eye on him with Bazemore out a couple weeks.

Daniel Hamilton (shoulder) and Jaylen Adams have been assigned to the Hawks’ G-League affiliate.
Hamilton has been out since the preseason with a shoulder issue, but it sounds like he’s close, given that he’ll be going down to the G-League to continue his rehab. That said, we don’t anticipate Hamilton or Adams being relevant in fantasy hoops this season.

Daniel Hamilton has been recalled from the G-League.
He’s not an impact player in fantasy hoops.

Daniel Hamilton (right shoulder) participated in Tuesday’s practice, but he will not play Wednesday against Dallas.
He’s getting close, but he’s not a rotation player. Ignore him.
  • Small Forward #5
Daniel Hamilton (right shoulder) will sit out Wednesday’s exhibition game against the Spurs.
He’s yet to make his preseason debut, and it’s unclear if he’ll be ready for the start of the season. Don’t draft him.
